It's no surprise that many recent Time Attack Events not only let people take a break from the hype of the previous collab, but also reguage themselves as they prepare for the next bigger collab; the Subaru Time Attack Event was no exception, and in this case, they let you all prepare for a much Bigger surprise; Pac-Man's 43rd Birthday!!!
It's safe to speculate it would be a big collab, considering it may have a Drift Survival Event as part of their event schedule, judging that the banners on the featured cars take place on Seaside Route 765.
Speaking of the featured cars, they're the Pac-Man NSX NC1, Pac-Man Assoluto Fatalita, and Ridge Racer 3D Pac-Man car (which according to the Twitter banner, looks something like you'd see in a Star Wars arcade racing game.) The NSX NC1 is the third time Drift Spirits decorated a real-life car to Celebrate Pac-Man, with the GR Yaris celebrating Pac-Man's 41st, and the Tachyon R35 celebrating Pac-Man's 42nd.
Oh yeah, there are rumors that previous Ridge Racer cars you missed like the Ridge Racer 6 Crinacle, Gnade G00 and the Monstrous Limo will be making an appearance in this collab. From my speculation they serve the same treatment as the 9th Anniversary supercars like the Aventador SVJ and the R35s. We'll find out how to get them when the event is released.
UPDATED 6/22/2023:
With Pac-Man's 43rd Birthday being released, this event brings good news and bad news, and yes it's a 3-Car Battle Event just from the get-go, which is out of the ordinary from the previous Pac-Man events taking place on a Drift Survival Event.
Let's start with the bad news:
-This appears to be the only Pac-Man event to air this year.
-Because of the exclusivity to the Pac-Man event, so is the chance ticket order featuring the previous Ridge Racer cars like the Monstrous LIMO, Gnade G00 and the Ridge Racer 6 Crinacle, which would only last one week. Like the 9th Anniversary Supercars, Ridge Racer 6 Crinacle requires 6 tickets to be obtained guaranteed in the exchange shop, while both the Monstrous LIMO and the Gnade G00 require 3 tickets each.
-To get the required number of tickets for the Ridge Racer cars, all you have to do is place in Top 1000, which is just as hard as placing in Top 3000 in a Battle Royale Event. This mean't that for those that sadly missed the MONSTROUS LIMO, this will be your only opportunity to get it back.
-Pac-Man NSX NC1 is for Top 3000 in its 7-star base. Pac-Man Assoluto Fatalita is for Top 5000 in its 6-star base, and Pac-Man Ridge Racer 3D Ver. is for Top 10,000.
Now onto the good news:
- Some of the goodies you missed like Pac-Man's Ridge Racer 7 car will reappear as a point exchange car.
- There's also a rumor that Pac-Man's Ridge Racer 4 Ver. will be obtainable as a rare drop once you Take Down Pac-Man himself in this event.
There are only three big bonuses that will do you good in this event; Pac-Man's Assoluto Fatalita and Ridge Racer 3D Ver, and the all-new MY24 R35, which like the Mazda 787B is obtainable from a brand new GOLD SPIRITS Order.
Honestly, I somewhat regret missing out on the Monstrous LIMO as at the time, I was preparing for the ultimate Wangan Midnight Collaboration, and sure enough the resources I could've spent that lended me the MONSTROUS LIMO resulted in me walking away with the Original Touch Blackbird as my ultimate target of the collab as that car was also the reason why I missed the Mechadoc's Celica and Grazer Z. Plus, I wish this event would follow the Drift Survival formula or have the Ridge Racer chance ticket order extended like what happened with 9th Anniversary. Either one of these would lead to me bagging the MONSTROUS LIMO to say the least.
It seems like sadly it is what it is and we have to go with it. Guess I'll gather enough resources to prepare for the next event and probably walk away with at least Pac-Man's Ridge Racer 3D car if I could use my similar luck with the BMW M1.
