At long last the Pac-Man 3-Car Battle Event is over. I've got good news and bad news from this event. The good news is that I walked away with Pac-Man's Ridge Racer 3D car. The bad news is that I didn't get a chance ticket for the 2022 Ridge Racer cars. Apparently I got pushed out of Top 7500 at the very last minute. I was at rank 6500 within the last 5 hours of the event and I was expected to maintain around 7000-7200 by the time the event ended. Seems like you can't beat the hype out of that event considering it's a Pac-Man event compared to the last HS R32 event. Oh well, I guess considering this is better than walking away with none, the next time these Ridge Racer cars appear in the future, I'll try to make a run for it.
Next up is the Boss Battle Event featuring the Nissan S-Cargo, XD ND5RC, Namiko's new 735 RZ34 (which is an 8-star), and the HS Figaro, which ironically is the first time Drift Spirits introduced a Figaro. There's a 5-hour maintenance starting tonight so please clean up all your rewards until then.
UPDATED 6/29/2023:
The 735 RZ34 Boss Battle Event has now begun. It appears as though there will be a series of events throughout next month to give people more time to fight for Namiko's 8-star whip. To start, like the Nissan R390, the 735 RZ34 is chance ticket exclusive, as if it could be in your hands regardless of the number of tickets you have finalized. Mind though you have to place hard in the rankings still to get enough tickets for one guaranteed as not surprisingly you need five tickets total to fulfill that condition.
For this event, HS Figaro is for Top 3000 in its 7-star base. XD ND5RC is for Top 5000 in its 6-star form, and Nissan S-Cargo is for Top 7500 in its 5-star form.
These events featuring Namiko's RZ34 will feature the Leapord Ultima as a point exchange car and you could also get it in a new ticket order alongside the XD Impreza GC8.
Before I get to the bonuses, there are also 735 tickets available, which as it seems you have to complete all the event missions to get them. There is no quite sign of getting them besides the challenges. The 735 tickets are for a special ticket order lending you the previous 735 cars you missed, including the 735 Z33 from last years 3-Car Battle Event, and the 2019 735 S30 when Drift Spirits celebrates its 10-million Downloads. They sadly cannot be used as bonuses once you do get them as it is limited to the Leapord Ultima and the XD Impreza GC8. For bigger bonuses, you must have an XD ND5RC and the Nissan S-Cargo.
By happy coincidence I just brought out my XD Impreza GC8 that I've been planning on using in this event. But however, I don't plan on getting this event's cars as they don't suit my interest; not even the XD ND5RC as I'll just stick to the original one. Because of that, I'll just spend some time affinity-grinding until the next event or two features something I find interesting. By which I'll get enough points to get the exchange goodies I wanted.
UPDATED 7/5/2023: The Midway ranking was lifted as of today. A sidenote for those wondering why the Nissan S-Cargo appeared at the race rewards screen. It turns out that the game decided to make the car as a rare drop, and this made it the first occassion where Drift Spirits now made it easier to get Bigger Bonus points cars as rare drops in a Boss Battle Event, even if the first occassion they did that was with the LB-Works RX-3 during the Liberty Works Battle Royale Event. I guess that further takes away my motivation for fighting for this event's cars, which mean't until the next event featuring interesting cars, I'll prioritize on affinity-grinding.
