Finally, the hype of the Wangan Midnight Collaboration of 2023 has died down, and a final huge shoutout to those that made their last opportunities to get the last of the Wangan Midnight cars like the Blackbirds and the RX-7. I didn't make it to the Kitami-Tuned version sadly, but I did make it to the original Blackbird at above rank 1500 after spending at least 175 gas tanks (100 L + 75 S) as well as from above 999 to at least 500 nos tanks, which is actually more intense than fighting for Kawabata's GR86 back at the D1GP 2022 Boss Battle Event. This pretty much involved affinity-grinding some of my cars I want to get rid of over the course of the event. In the end, I'm all-in-all happy I walked away with a high-ranking target in this collab, and so yea, second Top 3000 BB win for me
We cannot enjoy our Wangan Midnight whips for long though, as Drift Spirits is collaborating once again with Liberty Walk, this time in the form of a Battle Royale Event. While the LB Orochi is returning, new LB cars have been featured like both NSXs NA1 and NC1 and the Savanna RX-3.
UPDATED 3/23/2023:
Aight, the event is now underway. LB NC1 is for Top 3000 in its 7-star base, and LB NA1 is for Top 5000 in its 6-star base. LB Savanna RX-3 is for Top 10,000 in its 5-star base. However, it's been rumored to be a rare drop once you take down Nanami Tsukamoto herself over the duration of the event.
As for the LB Orochi, you have to get its tickets at Top 100 guaranteed as with the cases of the Kitami-Tuned Devil Z Kai and Blackbird, although Top 7500 gives you a more easier chance. However, judged from the expiration date of that chance ticket order, this may appear to be the only Liberty Works collab event to air so far.
The only returning exchange goodies were the companions featured in Nanami Tsukamoto's previous collab, but aside from them, you just have the Mitsubishi Starion.
There is a special GOLD Order containing the previous LB cars including those from the previous collab. Sadly, they don't do you in terms of bonus points as you have to use either the Savanna RX-3 (If you're lucky to get one via rare drop), or the LB NA1 in terms of bigger bonus points.
I need to recover from all that adrenaline from getting the Blackbird in the previous event, so I'll just get as many goodies I need from the exchange shop.
